In a lonely part of a crowded town
Where broken hopes and Dreams are found.
He sat 'ALONE' in flickering light
Ohh so lightly, whispering his lines.
"I will sit here, Let the world end".
As I am talking to my only friend".
As I am talking to my only friend".
He talked about, All the chances that he had,
And how he lost, Since his luck was bad.
All of his other friends,
And how he ended up losing each of them.
All the loneliness in his life,
And the opportunities, He did not strike.
Despite his life being city of TROY,
Talking to his friend, Every word of his was an imminent joy.
With patience that would rival Saints,
His friend sat through all complaints.
He nodded, Shrugged and even agreed,
To all the 'old man's' miseries.
He gave him comfort and sensed his grieves,
He held 'his' hand and took all his worries.
With a tear in his eye, the Old man said,
"Whenever I think of you in my mind,
I realize how lucky I am, To have you in my life".
"You are my only friend,
"You are my only friend,
Please don't leave me or I will be dead".
"I am your SHADOW" his friend replied
"If you are dead, I also die".
"If you are dead, I also die".
The funny thing, which later came to light.
Was that the Old man had no friends, his entire life.
Was he indeed talking to his OUTLINE?

Deep thoughts, very well put in. Spells a magic of reality too. Talking to his outline or his imagination, either ways he talked out his woes alone. Beautiful.
